Winter is Right around the Corner. Are Your Tires Ready?

Many cars, trucks, and SUVs are built with summer tires or come equipped with rear-wheel drive. But winter tires have been specifically designed for increased traction on snow and ice covered roads. They even respond better than all-season or summer tires when the temperature is cold. Vaden Used Cars is your winter tire destination! Our service team is more than ready to help you answer any questions that you may have.

When it comes to driving around in snowy conditions, having the right tires is very important for your safety. Winter tires are also known as snow tires. If you live or work around the Savannah area, you already know the winter roads can be unpredictable. That being said, winter tires are a smart investment. These tires are designed to remain flexible and channel snow, slush and expel water. During cold temperatures, the tread rubber of an all-season or summer tire stiffens and becomes less able to provide sufficient traction. But tread rubber compounds of winter tires are designed to remain flexible, allowing the tire to grip the road better.

To keep you and your passengers well-protected at all times, it's strongly recommended to install winter tires in sets of four rather than replacing one or two. Mixing winter tires and all-season tires causes the front and rear axles to have unequal control.

Winter will be here before you know it. If you still have questions about tires, please feel free to reach out to our service center for more information.
